Ayodhya’s Diwali is unlike any other in the country. Deepotsav marks the city’s celebration of Lord Rama’s return and lakhs of diyas illuminate the ghats. Roads get crowded and walking between temples can be tiring for elders and kids so a taxi makes the whole visit much easier.
Festival days bring road closures, parking rushes, and long waits for autos. A private taxi gives you a fixed pickup, a driver who knows the diversions and a comfortable seat between temple visits. For families, cab booking in Ayodhya for local sightseeing is often the simplest way to cover all the main spots without stress.
Begin your day by 6:00 AM so you finish darshan before the crowd builds. Keep the evening free for the Saryu ghats when the lamps are lit.
Ram Janmabhoomi Temple: Diwali is a time when the temple is grand with lights and flowers all around. Take only essentials, as security rules are strict and phones and bags are generally not allowed inside. Get there early, because the lines get long quickly after 9:00 AM.
Hanuman Garhi: This hilltop temple is reached by a climb of around 70 steps, and devotees usually visit before Ram Lalla darshan. Older travellers can take the climb slowly. The top gives a lovely view of the city, and laddoo is a popular offering here.
Kanak Bhawan: A beautiful temple palace, a place of peace and a fine piece of art. The main attraction is the idols of Lord Ram and Sita made of gold.
Ram Ki Paidi: The Saryu riverfront where the Deepotsav lamps glow after sunset. It is the best place to end the day. Thousands of diyas line the ghats and reflect on the water. Reach by 5:00 PM for a good spot.
Nageshwarnath Temple: This is one of the oldest temples of Ayodhya dedicated to Lord Shiva. You must go to the temple at Ayodhya.
